Culture jammed designs

Figure 1 shows two different designs for the Culture Jammed T-Shirt. The first design has the original KFC font so the ‘obesity’ text doesn’t look out of place and as though it was meant to be there. The second image is the one hat has been used for Figure 3.

Figure 2 displays a hijacked design of KFC. Fast food chains have proven to be a huge factor in obesity across the word. A country that came to mind is America. KFC was founded in America and is the number one place that is favourited for fried chicken in the USA. The design is of a chicken burger with the text “Kentucky fried obesity”, it is placed onto an image of an overweight male to add to the effect. The font used is ‘impact’ which is ironic as the intention of this design is to make an impact on to other people.

Culture Jammed Anti-Advertisement

Figures 3, 4 and 5 are redesigns of previous promotions from KFC. The message of the posters is that by eating mass amounts of fast food this will cause an increase in weight. All three messages are portraying the same issue. The font used is ‘impact’.
