I <3 ? – Piece

Figure 1 is inspired by the famous I <3 NY logo which was designed by Milton Glaser as an advertising campaign for tourists. In the personal design created, the composition, text and the heart are relatively similar. The intention was to keep the same style as the inspired logo. The font used in figure 1 is ‘Courier New’ in bold, which was the closest font to the original artwork. The image of the dog was created on Adobe Draw on iPad, and all placed together using Adobe Illustrator. The colours for the dog were picked from a personal pet and the heart colour is in hexadecimal: FF0000.

Rebus Logo Design for a local organisation

Figures 2 and 3 are both redesigns of a local internet company KCOM. With inspiration from the ‘Eye Bee M’ poster, a new logo for KCOM was designed. Figure 1 contains more of a detailed image, it contains the letter K followed by the imagery of a sea wave to replace the C. there are 6 variations to this logo, 2 with a white background, 2 with a black and 2 black and white. This is the same for figure 3 too. The designs on the left-hand side have various shades of blue, this is in an attempt to replicate the colours of the sea to make the logo more readable. To the right had side the designs contain shades of orange, this orange colour was taken directly from the KCOM logo. Figure 3 is more of a simplistic logo, behind the K are 3 waves, this is a typical symbol you would see near open water. The font used is Arial Rounded MT Bold.
