April Greiman
Whilst previously studying architecture, I stumbled across April Greiman through researching about her husband who is an architect. Since seeing her work, I have always been fascinated by her story and the way she conveys her art onto a digital platform rather than the traditional types of art. She played a major part in the movement of graphic design and is considered the first woman in the industry to move art onto a digital platform, which was unheard of at the time. I admire the way she transformed the world of art by using digital technology. Her work makes use of a combination of digital tools, and she was never too afraid of trying new things and exploring different medias.
As a woman myself, I am heavily inspired by other women in the industry. April Greiman is one of my biggest inspirations as she contributed to a change in style in the world of art. Greiman was born into a world where equality in the workplace was nonexistent which is why I admire the fact that her work made a change and was widely noticed.
